It is important to understand how different cannabis strains have varying characteristics with regard to growth patterns and bud structure. Cannabis trimming techniques should be tailored to each harvest and strain to enhance its unique qualities and improve its overall appearance, aroma, and maintain its potency.

For example, some strains produce dense buds with lots of small leaves that need to be carefully trimmed to maximize the amount of trichome-rich flowers.
