How do I use the pre-press molds?

You can use the mold with our rosin presses, manually (using hand pressure), or use an arbor press. During rosin extraction, this level of compression allows for more consistent heat and pressure distribution. By using the rosin pre-press mold, you can achieve more efficient and consistent results with yield, quality, and the overall process.

What is the advantage of this vs non-pressed material?

First, a pre-press mold helps create uniform-sized pucks, which result in higher-quality rosin. Pressed starting material also has less moisture and air pockets, which enhances extraction efficiency. Lastly, compacted material moves less inside rosin bags reducing bag blowouts and maximizing yields.

Are the rosin pre-press molds reusable?

Yes, they are reusable. They are made from anodized aluminum, which can withstand repeated use and pressure. To extend your mold’s lifetime, be sure to clean it thoroughly and remove any residue or leftover flower material. With regular maintenance and proper cleaning, you can extend the mold’s lifespan.
